Relay For Life

As you may know, Leah and I both have relatives who have battled cancer. In some cases, they've won the battle. In other cases, they've come up short. We've both been touched by the disease however.

For the past two years we've dropped by the Relay For Life event held in Boone to see the opening ceremonies and to take the "family lap" with my mother. Last year as we were leaving we started talking about joining a team to fully participate in the 2008 event. We thought that perhaps we could get something going at one of our places of employment. As the months went by, we made some changes that lead to us being invited to join a team with our new church.

So here we are - 2/15ths of the Methodist Team A. Not the most clever team name in the world, I'll give you that, but it works. There's a logo for the Relay For Life over on the right sidebar of this page. If you're inclined to support this very worthy cause, and to help us reach our fundraising goal, I invite you to click on this logo to be taken to our donation page.

Thanks for your support!
